ABOUT THE TOOL
Base64 tools, without the fuss.
Base64 Studio is a free, straightforward way to encode and decode Base64 text or files—right in your browser.
How Base64 works
Base64 converts groups of binary data into a text representation using 64 printable characters: A–Z, a–z, 0–9, plus and slash. Padding characters (=) may appear at the end. The format is useful when binary data needs to travel through systems designed for text.
For example, the word “Man” becomes TWFu. Base64 is not encryption and does not make information secret; anyone can decode it. Do not use it to protect passwords or other sensitive data.
Designed for your privacy
Text and files are processed using your browser's built-in APIs. This site does not upload your input to a server, and the conversion works without an account.
